In my first (professional) career, I worked for many years as a hotel specialist in various hotels and restaurants. In my work as a freelancer, I’ve found a way to combine all my talents because, on the one hand, I’m a service provider through and through, and on the other, I’ve always been interested in “technical stuff” (I maintained and updated the hotel website at the place where I did my apprenticeship).
For more than five years now, I’ve had the privilege of supporting and guiding wonderful female online entrepreneurs in their businesse and I’m very grateful for that.
I am from Germany, from the beautiful Lower Saxony, but have been living in Tallinn, Estonia, since the summer of 2023.

- I’ve worn glasses since I was about 4 years old. At first I was farsighted, but when I was about 10, I suddenly became nearsighted, and I still am today.
- I’m left-handed but I do a lot of things like a right-hander, such as holding cutlery when there are two pieces (though when there’s only one piece, I always hold it in my left hand), and playing racket sports like badminton, tennis, and golf…
- I taught myself to knit in my mid-20s. It wasn’t offered at my school back then. Here, too, I hold the needles like a “normal” right-hander.
- I have a soft spot for (unusual) office supplies and like to combine this with my love for otters and corgis. I’m the proud owner of an otter-shaped Scotch tape dispenser named Nils, various Post-it notes with otter and corgi designs, otter-shaped pens, and an otter-shaped wrist rest (which was a gift from a client).

It depends.
If you’re a business in Estonia, we can work together with no need for a VAT-ID as my company is registered in Estonia.
For countries within the EU, I use the reverse-charge procedure for invoicing. A European VAT ID is a mandatory requirement for this procedure.
If you’re using the small business exemption in Germany or Austria, I’m afraid I’m not the right service provider for you. The same applies to Switzerland: if you don’t have a VAT ID, we unfortunately can’t work together.
Additional note: If you use your tax ID number as your VAT ID, you unfortunately cannot use it under the reverse-charge procedure in Germany or Austria. A European VAT ID (starting with the respective country code) is a basic requirement here, because only European VAT IDs can be verified for validity internationally.

If you decide to book a Pick my Brain session, you’ll usually find an available slot in the calendar within the next 14 days.
For a project or a long-term collaboration, it depends on the scope. I generally need about 4–8 weeks’ lead time after receiving your request to schedule everything so that you get my full attention. After all, being squeezed in between other commitments isn’t ideal either.

That’s a really good question, and it’s not that easy to explain.
For one thing, I think otters are super cute! For another, they’re very agile, quick on their feet, social, but also independent and have a mind of their own.
A mentor once told me that those are all things that apply to me or that I like – and she was right. (Plus, I’m pretty cute sometimes, too :-D)
That’s why otters are and always will be amazing animals that I love so much I even named my company after them: The Otter Way.
